Apparently, the story behind these forests is that at a certain time of year, water flows up from beneath the ground. I visited in May, so I didn’t get to witness it myself—but just the idea of it was already fascinating. Even without that, it’s an incredible place to walk, especially during the hot midday hours (around 12–3 PM), as the dense trees provide plenty of cool, refreshing shade. Scattered throughout the
Sombra y broteNice excursion and very easy for children. You can go with the children trolley also. 1,5km from the road. Place for take picnic in the forest. Quite difficult to see the water exiting from the ground. Try the next day after heavy rains.
