Almazara y Casa de Can Det-Visitas Guiadas

We had a wonderful guided tour and olive oil tasting at Can Det in Sóller. The visit was led by the owner himself, who gave us a warm welcome and an engaging explanation of the family’s history — an impressive legacy of more than 600 years. It was fascinating to see how they still produce olive oil using the traditional method with a stone mill, now electrically powered but still deeply rooted in heritage.

I can’t recommend this experience enough! Great history, proudly passionate and really welcoming .. I contacted last minute but they arranged a great private tour that included a video (in english), a walk around the machinery and storage area and a tasting at the end. Tomeu was really nice, had a lot of information and was flexible as we had some dietary restrictions and he immediately arranged something suitable.

Fantastic tour of how olive oil is produced. Tour guide was amazing and really knowledgable. After we went around the house and the factory we had a tapas style lunch (bread, olives, freshly grown tomatoes, orange juice, meats, cheese) followed by cake and wine. Everything was super tasty and the whole house beautiful.
